TVN (Chile)

Televisión Nacional de Chile ( TVN ) is the public television network of Chile . It was created on January 31, 1969. National Television has been a pioneer in the introduction of technological advances in Chile. It was the first television network to have national coverage, transmit via satellite, launch color broadcasts, stereo sound and the first experimental broadcasts in high definition. Several of its soap operas have achieved the highest audience ratings in the history of Chilean television and are recognized both in that country and abroad for their social content, realism and settings. Televisión Nacional is the only public television company that broadcasts in Chilean territory, competing for audiences with other private broadcasting groups. It has a diverse programming with its own spaces, co-produced or imported on various channels.
