SR Fernsehen is the regional television program of Saarländischer Rundfunk (SR) for the state of Saarland in Germany. It was launched on August 30, 1998, in cooperation with SWR Fernsehen of the neighboring Südwestrundfunk (SWR). SR Fernsehen produces a variety of programming, including news and current affairs, regional programming, such as documentaries, culture programs, and sports coverage. SR Fernsehen also produces content for the ARD network, such as regional reports for the news programs Tagesschau and Tagesthemen, and Tatort crime dramas.
