SIC live is an acronym for Sociedade Independente de Comunicacao ("Independent Communication Society"), a Portuguese television network that also operates several television channels. The eponymous SIC is their flagship channel. It was launched on 6 October 1992 and is the third terrestrial TV station in Portugal. Impresa, a Portuguese media conglomerate, owns SIC. It is one of seven terrestrial free-to-air channels from Portugal. It is also the most-watched channel from Portugal, both from 1995 to 2005 and again from 2019 to now.
