
NDR Fernsehen
NDR Fernsehen is the regional television program of Norddeutscher Rundfunk and is one of the public regional broadcasters. The television station was created by the British occupying forces under the name “Nordwestdeutscher Rundfunk” (NWDR). The program has been running under its current name “NDR Fernsehen” since 2001. The headquarters of the program directorate is in Hamburg. The television program is produced for the northern federal states of Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The NDR TV program primarily delivers local formats for northern Germany The NDR television program includes regional news in the local formats “Hello Niedersachsen”, “Schleswig-Holstein Magazin” and the “Hamburg Journal”. In addition to magazine formats and documentary series such as “Countries – People – Adventures”, “Expeditions into the Animal Kingdom” or “Northern Germany from Above”, crime series and films are also often represented in the evening program. Cultural and sports programs are also among the highlights of the NDR program.
