ARD-Alpha

ARD-alpha is a German educational channel that is broadcast under the auspices of Bayerischer Rundfunk. The television station was founded in 1998 under the name BR-alpha and was renamed ARD-alpha in 2014. ARD-alpha's television program consists of Bayerischer Rundfunk's own productions as well as programs from other ARD stations and ORF. Language courses, continuing education programs from the Telekolleg as well as university and science programs are shown. The program also includes subject areas such as religion, music, philosophy, literature, art, and culture.
