Star Channel sent its signal to the country's television airwaves on December 4, 1993. The program is broadcast digitally terrestrially, through the Digital Terrestrial Television (DIGEA) frequencies, which already covers over 96% of the country's population. In addition, the television program is broadcast through Cosmote TV 's subscription services (satellite-DTH and via IPTV), to over 500,000 subscribers. Star's goal always remains to further strengthen its position in the television horizon, with equal emphasis on both the informative and entertainment sectors, through the provision of television programs that meet the interests and needs of the largest possible range of television viewers.
