Antena 3
Antena 3 is a Spanish terrestrial television channel owned by Atresmedia Televisión which also owns Onda Cero, one of Spain’s most listened to radio stations. It started broadcasting via analogue throughout Spain with a programme fronted by journalist Miguel Ángel Nieto, thus becoming Spain’s first nationwide private television station. The channel would be rebranded to Antena 3 on January 25, 1990 and has kept the name ever since. Antena 3 became the first private television channel in Spain, ending the dominance of RTVE in the country since its launch. Antena 3 is considered a general entertainment channel since it has something for almost everyone in the family. After years of criticism for its sensationalist content, Antena 3 has included game shows, TV series, comedy programs, and general information shows. The content in this channel has also been spiced up with the inclusion of movies and political debates.
