Channel 7 of Buenos Aires, better known as Televisión Pública and stylized as TVP, is an Argentine open television station that transmits from the city of Buenos Aires and acts as the main station of that country's public television network. It was the first television station to broadcast in the country, beginning its functions on October 17, 1951. It is operated by the Ministry of Media and Public Communication through the public company Radio y Televisión Argentina , being one of the two channels of open signal that are operated directly by the National Executive Branch. Its programming is general, with emphasis on sports, cultural, educational and fiction activities, in addition to having its own news service.
